About this record

Solid minimal tech house from LA duo Tejada & Leviste on Frankfurt's Playhouse. A proper catalogue number from a golden era of the label. Weird, clicky, playful and overall unfiltered creativity.

Syntax Free arrives as Playhouse #52, a moment when the label was pushing minimal tech house into genuinely experimental territory. Tejada and Leviste work with sparse, percussive elements - crisp clicks, metallic textures, restless rhythmic cells - that feel more interested in texture and oddness than conventional groove. This is tech house stripped back to its functional essentials, then deliberately bent out of shape.

For collectors of early 2000s Frankfurt minimalism and anyone after that sweet spot where house music got genuinely weird before everything settled into formula. Playhouse's golden run speaks for itself.
