About this record

Stunning tracks with a minimal approach - every detail put in place with perfection. This is a quirky journey through good drumming and meticulous sounddesign that rewards close listening.

J Gabriel constructs these four pieces with the patience of someone who understands that restraint is a tool. The Specimen EP unfolds across understated tech-house rhythms and minimal frameworks, each element earning its place in the mix. Nothing feels wasted; nothing feels overdone.

Convent continues its run of precise, thought-through releases with catalogue number 005. This is music for people who care about the craft - stripped back enough to hear the intention, intricate enough to reveal new details on repeated plays.
