About this record
Old school sound, modern approach. Boring Crew Records' second vinyl outing pairs Henrik Villard's tech house cuts with hypnotic minimal techno, split across a 45 RPM 12".
Villard's A-side channels early-2000s tech house sensibilities - stripped back, groove-focused, purposeful. There's restraint here, a refusal to overcomplicate. Hajem takes the B-side into darker territory, building tension through repetition and subtle sonic manipulation. Hypnotic rather than flashy.
Boring Crew Records operates from Oslo with a clear aesthetic: minimal techno and pared-down tech house for dancefloors that value tension over spectacle. This is the second physical release from the label. Built for DJs and listeners who remember when house and techno didn't need much to work.
