About this record
Propulsive, dubby and tribal tech house EP on Boston's Vermilion Sun Records. This is Cutty's second release, following earlier work on Gummies Records and Steep, and it hits hard across four tracks with a Wiersma remix in tow.
The tracks sit comfortably in that zone where tech house develops real weight through dub signalling and tribal percussion. These are tools for the floor, but they're deployed with genuine depth - the kind of record that works equally well as late-set fuel and headphone listening. Vermilion Sun has established itself as a serious outlet for this particular strain of propulsive, textured house, and VSR 002 sits naturally in their catalogue.
