About this record
Staff tip! Andre Zimmer blesses Craigie Knowes with outstanding proggy tunes straight from the swamp. This is deep-wired electro crafted with the kind of patience that rewards repeated listens - tracks that unfold rather than announce themselves, building through clever percussion work and acid-tinged synth detail.
Zimmer's approach to progression sits somewhere between classic electro intelligence and contemporary tech house sensibility. The Swamp Circuit EP doesn't rush; each of the four tracks develops its own logic, layering elements with precision and restraint. Breakbeats snap tight against warm, squelchy low-end, while modulation keeps things moving in unexpected directions. It's the sort of record that works equally well on a focused listen or as part of a longer set.
Craigie Knowes continues its run of carefully curated releases. This one lands exactly where you'd want it - intelligent, durably constructed, built to last.
