Tommy Vicari jnr is an alias of Thomas Gibbins, a DJ and producer based in Sheffield, UK. He has been an active figure in the city's underground house scene since at least the late 2000s, and his output reflects the breadth of a producer comfortable moving across house, deep house, techno, dub techno and minimal.
Recent releases on Slapfunk, OGE, and Politics of Dancing. His discography also includes releases on classic label like Robsoul and Cabinet Records. His sound is truly unique shifting between swingy house to experimental twisted dubbed out funk grooves. Not big on interviews or PR this is an artist that has kept the music coming and let it speak for itself.
Not to be confused with Tommy Vicari, an American Grammy award winning TV & movie sound engineer. We wonder if Thomas was inspired by him for the name but as he is so secretive we will probably never find out.
