Sol Ortega is a DJ and Producer from Buenos Aires.
Sol is one of the few Latin American DJs to make a global name for herself. Known for her unique sets that blur the line between house and techno, she quickly gained traction in Argentina, earning widespread recognition after sharing the stage with international headliners in Buenos Aires. This success led to multiple European tours, where she played some of the continent’s most renowned venues.
Despite her growing international profile, Sol stays true to her roots. With a deep musical background, a jazz-like intuition for mixing, and a love for Detroit-inspired vinyl, her sets reflect both precision and passion. Occasionally, she even incorporates jam sessions straight from her bedroom studio.

Her approach to production mirrors her DJ career—steady and thoughtful. Early releases on Rhythm Nation and Unitas Multiplex paved the way for her breakout in 2023 with a release on FJAAK’s label, Crowd. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Sol’s ability to balance complexity and simplicity ensures her music resonates equally with house and techno audiences alike.
