Kolter

Kolter is the alias of Johannes Kolter, a DJ and producer based in Cologne, Germany. Formerly known as DJOKO, he has built a solid reputation in house and techno, with a string of earlier aliases including Hatori Hanso, Lowdi, J.K. Rollin and H.K. The name change marked a deliberate fresh start rather than a break in momentum, and the output has only accelerated since.

His relationship with Berg Audio runs deep, with the "Endless Explorations" LP series serving as one of the defining statements of his career. After delivering three instalments in that series, he followed it up with the "Elements" collection, digging into the deeper end of his catalogue. Beyond Berg Audio, his productions have appeared on PIV, Shall Not Fade, and Chris Stussy's Up The Stuss imprint. More recently he has been active on MINDHELMET, where sleek house meets Eurodance influence. He is a co-founder of the Cologne-based HOOVE label, which doubles as a party series in the city.

He also runs Koltrax, a second imprint launched to release some of his most sought-after unreleased productions. KOLTERCAMP functions as his personal self-release outlet. His collaboration with Dutch producer Chris Stussy under the Stussko alias has been one of his most visible joint projects, with the "Endless Explorations Pt. II" release on Berg Audio featuring a collaboration between the two, alongside a remix from Detroit legend Delano Smith.
