AKA Eric Louis Dreyfus

Eric Louis is a DJ, producer and record label owner from central New Jersey and based in NYC.

His formative years were shaped by an internship with luminary Manhattan DJ Jonathan Peters, through which he began learning to DJ and work in Ableton around 2002, crafting bootlegs and edits played out during Peters' legendary marathon sessions at the Sound Factory. He went on to hold a five-year residency in the NYC area and play across New York and beyond.

A turning point came in 2015 when he took first place out of more than 300 entries in a remix contest held by Victor Calderone, a result that brought his work to a wider international audience and led to releases on New York's Nervous Records and Berlin's Get Physical Music. He has also released on MixCult and Jannowitz Records.

In 2021, Louis launched his own vinyl and digital imprint, Devilish Affair, as a dedicated home for his dub-leaning sounds. The label describes itself as a dub-leaning house and techno imprint, and it is very much his primary creative focus today. Now into its fifth year, the label has reached the top of the charts at Decks.de across multiple releases. The label's debut, the "Adventures" EP, launched on vinyl in November 2021 and drew immediate support from figures in the dub techno world including Tm Shuffle, Matthew Oh of Outlaw Dubs, OHM Iceland, and The Pornbugs of Bondage Music. Ryan Elliott subsequently played the track "AM Dubs" at a Halloween party at Berghain and placed it in his November 2022 chart.

Devilish Affair has grown to host other artists alongside Louis's own releases, with recent records featuring David Heine and Konstantin Kost, and remix contributions from André Kronert, with Louis himself appearing on remix duties to add what one description called "refined deepness, balancing dancefloor drive with immersive textures."

The label has also given platform to Massiel, whose releases move between deep, bass-heavy dubbed-out club cuts and a more spacey, tech-house adjacent deep house sound.
