Eric Cloutier first played both floors at Berghain in Berlin in 2012, then Bassiani in Tbilisi (2017), and Fuse in Brussels and both floors at Tresor in Berlin (both 2022). Eric Cloutier has played Tresor 23 times, on both floors.
Eric Cloutier was born in Detroit and is now based in Berlin, where he has spent over 25 years developing a sound rooted in deep, hypnotic and dubby textures. His dedication to record digging is well known among those who follow him, and it shows in the thoughtfulness and depth he brings to every set.
After establishing himself as a regular at New York's The Bunker, Cloutier made the move to Berlin, where he holds a residency at Tresor. Across both larger rooms and more intimate settings, his DJ sets are known for their technical care and for drawing a considered line between dance music's past and present.
Away from the booth, Cloutier runs his own label, Palinoia, a name taken from the Greek concept of repeating an act until it is truly mastered. The imprint releases his own productions alongside work from emerging artists, and reflects the same patient, quality-focused approach that runs through everything he does.
