About this record
Crate digger stuff - proper 90s trance-infused nostalgia on this one. Samuel Jabba taps into that era's melodic sensibility and breakbeat energy for Hidden Dreams EP, a release that feels both rooted in a specific moment and genuinely timeless.
Jabba's approach here sits comfortably between techno and house, with the kind of textural depth and arrangement nous that separates digestible work from genuinely rewarding listens. CABARET Recordings has long championed this crossover territory - the label's catalogue rewards diggers willing to sit with records that don't announce themselves immediately.
Three tracks to absorb on vinyl. Recommended if you're into: Sasha & Digweed era progressive, early Bedouin Soundclash, the melodic end of 90s Frankfurt techno.
