Ron Trent

House legend Ron Trent returns with a two-part album exploring a variety of sounds and tempos, blurring the line between past, present and future. This second instalment deepens the journey, moving between deep, hypnotic grooves and more spacious, introspective moments that feel equally at home in a late-night basement or the early hours.

Trent's enduring influence on Chicago house and beyond remains undiminished. His approach here - unhurried, textural, rooted in the fundamentals but unafraid to drift into ambient territory - reflects an artist still pushing beyond convention. The production is meticulous without losing warmth, each track deliberately paced to explore its own logic rather than chase dancefloor adrenaline.

Rush Hour's consistent eye for deep, album-oriented house music makes this release a natural fit for their catalogue. Lift Off Part Two is substantial work - for listeners ready to sit with it, not just move to it.
