About this record
Old school electronic music from the Netherlands. Pinguin Society has curated a selection of tracks by Peru from their album The Prophecies, spread across different records. This is that material, remastered and reissued for vinyl.
Peru's approach sits comfortably between trance, techno, and downtempo - the kind of layered, hypnotic production that rewards repeated listening. There's nothing flashy here, just solid compositional work and the kind of attention to detail that separates genuine electronic music from the disposable. Pinguin Society's reissue programme has been quietly important for bringing this catalogue back into circulation.
