Romania-based artist and performer Aburelius, taking listeners on a left of field, abstract yet nature bound trip that is as much immersive as it is emotional. With a rich, detailed sound that's borrowing and mutating from ambient, post rock, dub techno, and trip hop. Proper listening stuff.

About this record
Debut 12" on Romania's new Mindfares label. Marcus Aburelius delivers four nature-themed cuts on a leftfield, downtempo tip that rewards close listening. One to watch.
Aburelius operates in the margins of house and techno, favouring sparse arrangements and organic textures over straightforward grooves. Natura - Selected Works I finds him exploring meditative territory, each track a considered piece rather than a dancefloor weapon. The 45 RPM pressing allows the detail to breathe.
Mindfares is emerging as a label willing to back introspective, unconventional work from the Eastern European underground. This debut suggests both artist and imprint have something substantial to say.
