pdqb

Giallo Disco meets electro on Berlin's Synaptic Cliffs, 2024. Two pdqb originals plus two Legowelt remixes on the flip. Limited clear & white vinyl.

pdqb delivers a darkly cinematic take on Italo-Disco fundamentals here, the kind of thing that sounds equally at home in a late-night techno set or a 70s horror film montage. The originals sit in that liminal space between synth-driven dance music and pure exploitation soundtrack energy - strings, modulation, a palpable sense of theatrical unease. Legowelt's remixes push deeper into the electro-industrial margins, stripping back the lushness and doubling down on the machine.

Synaptic Cliffs continues its sharp trajectory with a label that understands the connective tissue between Italo-Disco, EBM, and contemporary techno. This is essential listening for anyone into the darker, more conceptual end of the dancefloor.
