About this record
Great stuff from Andre Zimmer's Big Trouble Records imprint. Mixolydian delivers a set of percussive, bouncy and ravey house cuts with that UK sensibility that's kept the underground moving. These are tracks built for the floor - propulsive rhythms, crisp production, and the kind of groove that rewards repeated listens both at home and in the club.
Take It Back sits comfortably in the tech house pocket where precision engineering meets pure dancefloor purpose. Zimmer's label continues its knack for finding producers who understand the difference between clever and effective; Mixolydian clearly knows the distinction. The 12" format lets these tracks breathe without unnecessary flourish.
