About this record
Giegling's Edward delivers an extra weird, stripped-back minimal house record that will rearrange your brain. This is house music pared down to its constituent parts - no flourish, just the essentials recontextualised into something genuinely unsettling and hypnotic.
Edward has always worked the margins of techno and deep house, and here on the Eddie Green EP for Smallville Records he leans hard into abstraction. Four tracks of pure structural inquiry: minimal, textural, designed to work the floor through sheer discipline rather than obvious hooks. The kind of record that reveals new wrinkles on the tenth listen.
Smallville continues its run of intelligent deep cuts with a producer who understands that constraint is a tool, not a limitation.
