About this record
French duo Dub Striker's debut on Happiness Therapy. Five tracks of deep and garage house that sit comfortably between stripped-back grooves and textural depth. The record moves with purpose - minimal but never sparse, locked into the kind of hypnotic pulse that works equally well in a sweaty basement or at 3am when the floor's already won you over. Garrett David, resident at Chicago's Smart Bar, reworks one track into something altogether more percussive and propulsive. Solid foundation-laying stuff from a label that knows what it's doing.
