Highly impressive, vinly only, 3-tracker for Poker Flat Wax. Tension and release masterclass. Minimal, subtle with a lot of dub FX sounds.

About this record
A highly impressive three-tracker that operates as a masterclass in tension and release. Defaultman & Sapurra work minimal frameworks with considerable restraint, letting dub effects become the primary narrative - thick, spatial, subtly transformative. This is music that trusts silence as much as sound.
Poker Flat Wax continues its reputation for thoughtful, uncompromising house. The Paperman EP sits comfortably within that ethos: no unnecessary flourish, no predictable builds. Instead, you get architecture. Stripped-back drum programming, careful fx placement, and the kind of space that only vinyl 12-inchers can really accommodate. Vinyl only, as it should be.
For those who understand house as a language of nuance rather than spectacle - this lands hard.
