Artysta Records is the name of SEVEN’s label for special projects and music that might not quite match our normal style. But the truth is that musically this banger of a release is a perfect fit for SEVEN, but we just couldn’t squeeze it into our busy release schedule so it became an Artysta release. You have to be pragmatic sometimes!

In this release our two artists – SEVEN label founder CRYME and his friend Christoph Faust present their creative take on modern house music with special classic touches. Here is a track by track breakdown:

No Fool Love is available today to stream on Spotify or Apple Music. You can buy the Digital Download on Bandcamp. it’s also available as a beautifully packaged collectors edition 12″ vinyl from our own Bandcamp and also record stores including Elevate Berlin

ART06 “No Fool Love” by C&CF Track by Track

### A1 – CRYME x Christoph Faust – No Fool Love

A genre-blurring electroish cut that seamlessly shifts between breakbeat sections and pounding 4-to-the-floor passages. The thumping kick cuts through with force, yet retains the energy of the breakbeat groove – especially accentuated by a prominent tom that plays against the beat, creating a highly danceable rhythm.

Sharp, classic drums snap with precision, while atmospheric dud-chords and playful ARPs echo through the stereo field, adding depth and tension to the name-giving track “No Fool Love”.

A2 –  CRYME x Christoph Faust – Buzz Leto

“Buzz Leto” is a sluggish, stomping house banger with a fat-sounding low end, built on low toms that function not only as a bassline but also add groove and weight to the production.

Elements from genres like funk and soul respond to each other throughout the track, creating an engaging call-and-response interplay that keeps the song alive.

B1 – CRYME x Christoph Faust – Get Up

One, two, three, four! In “Get Up,” the legendary lyrics by James Brown are reimagined and flipped, taking center stage on this first track of the B-side. The song is carried by smoothly filtered chord stabs, rising filter envelopes and skillful rhythmic drumwork – especially driven by a slapping snare drum.

“Get Up” isn’t just a track, it’s a command to get up and dance, like a sex machine.

B2 – CRYME x Christoph Faust – In & Out

C&CF close the record with “In & Out,” venturing into the realm of modern dub-techno. Laid-back, smooth, and subtly intimate, the track carries a driving yet soothing energy – perfect for the after-hours or a contemplative dancefloor moment. Whispered vocals that feel close and personal gently guide you to breathe in and out, enhancing the track’s intimate, almost meditative atmosphere.
