Let It Move You is out today, and Italian magazine Parkett caught up with CRYME to talk about the EP, SEVEN, and what’s coming next.
Today CRYME releases Let It Move You, his first EP for London label HE.SHE.THEY. Records — three tracks plus an edit. To mark the release, Italian electronic music magazine Parkett has published a full interview with him, going deep on the EP, his day job at SEVEN, and what’s coming next.
The release moves through three quite different moods. The title track opens things with a driving groove and a hooky vocal that lodges itself in your head. Since I Saw You turns inward — softer, slower, a bit nostalgic. Closer Organic Liquid Tester heads somewhere darker and more experimental, while still keeping things firmly on the dancefloor.
Talking to Parkett’s Alessandra Bianchini, CRYME explained that the three tracks not feeling like a single arc was deliberate. He sees them as different perspectives on the same situation — the same person looking at things through different lenses, depending on the day.
On signing with HE.SHE.THEY., he was honest about it being a small step outside his usual orbit. He described himself as normally being “deep in my underground bubble,” and said the label’s broader reach — more radio play, more streaming — was part of why he wanted to work with them. Not a reinvention, just trying a different kind of outlet to see who he might reach.
The interview also covers his work running SEVEN day to day, the upcoming Berlin store opening, and how his sound has been shifting towards a dubbier, more stripped-back house feeling over the last year.
There’s a small scoop in there too: CRYME confirmed to Parkett that he’s working on his debut album. Ten tracks, digital and probably vinyl, due in spring 2027.
