Dirty Hands

Dirty Hands is a dub focused label run by the Swedish DJJ & Producer Per Hammar. The label launched in 2014 with the Dirty Hands EP as catalogue number DH001.

Per Hammer spent years since the mid-2000s trying to fit his productions into other people's labels, and a lot of tracks he felt strongly about never found a home. Dirty Hands was his answer — a space for the sound he loves but doesn't always get to play: warm, dusty, ugly, distorted, broken, and worn.

That mission statement basically defines the label's whole aesthetic going forward — raw and groove-led rather than polished and always dub-infused.

The label works with our friends at black.round.twelve in Berlin for distribution.
