Tino Machauer

Tino Machauer is a DJ and producer based in Karlsruhe, and one of the more promising young talents coming through the German techno scene. He plays vinyl only, favouring fast, groovy and slightly mind-bending sets that pull from techno and hardgroove of the 90s and early 2000s.

His journey started at Gotec Club in Karlsruhe, where he is a resident and where he really found his style. It is rooted in the deep, hypnotic grooves of old-school 90s techno but carries the drive and energy of more contemporary sounds, with a lot of attention paid to crisp hi-hats, rhythmic structure and careful track selection. He is also a resident with the xpand crew, and part of Shockwerk, the Berlin and Stuttgart label and vinyl collective, where he plays alongside Slin.

Over the last while he has built a name through high-energy vinyl sets across Germany, and there is a real sense of an artist still early in his story and enjoying every step of it.

Fun Fact, Tino and SEVEN label co-founder CRYME were on the same artist roster when they were both represented by the now defunkt booking agency Distinkt in Berlin.
