Porco Rosso

Porco Rosso is the alias of Frankfurt-based DJ and producer Luca Hartz, His music moves across house, tech house and techno, with a particular pull toward acid and a sensibility rooted in analogue hardware and oldschool club function.

What sets his productions apart is a lightness of touch within a framework built for the floor. His records combine playful samples, softer keys and casual glitchy whistles, but the results are never frivolous. He is celebrated for his fusion of acid, tech house and techno, spiced with funky melodies and captivating vocal samples.

On record, Shiver Records has become a recurring home, with his SHVRW2 EP arriving in late 2025 as the second instalment of the label's club-focused whitelabel series. The four-track release carries an oldschool vibe with analog feelings and jacking moments, adding playful samples, softer keys and glitchy whistles - a gliding tool with real weight for the record bag. Earlier output includes the "Public Holidays" EP on the German label Pager, released in 2019, and releases on Zuperflex Records.

A familiar face at Frankfurt's Silbergold, his sets have taken him to Berlin venues including about blank and Aeden. In Frankfurt he is part of the Shibuya party circle, regularly teaming up with Gianluca for back-to-back sessions that have become a fixture of the city's underground calendar. His bookings place him alongside respected figures from the wider European circuit, reflecting a sound that works across intimate rooms and open-air settings alike without shifting its character.
