Lea Occhi

Léa Occhi is a French DJ and co-founder of Spectrum Waves, a Paris-based queer collective she helped establish in 2017. Built around values of tolerance, diversity, freedom, parity and respect, the collective hosts events at Station Gare des Mines, a rehabilitated former railway station, with the aim of offering a safer space where minority communities can express themselves freely. Through its lineups and podcast channel, Spectrum Waves platforms emerging French and international DJs and producers, and donates a portion of its earnings to causes including support for migrants and refugees, LGBTQIA+ associations and the fight against HIV.

Music has been present throughout Léa's life. Growing up, jazz, soul and French chanson filled family gatherings with a shared, almost meditative quality that stayed with her. A curiosity for electronic music took hold during her school years, alongside studies in fashion and design, and gradually drew her toward DJing and the party scenes of Paris and Germany.

Techno became a natural home, offering that same sense of togetherness and immersion she first encountered in music as a child. Her sets are built on careful selection and coherence, weaving groovy, organic and tribal elements into something intimate and considered. A genuine digger, she moves comfortably across techno, micro house, minimal, deep and ambient sounds, reading the room and responding to what each moment calls for.

She has performed at Berghain, Tresor, Club Raum, De School, Bassiani, Basement NYC, Fold, Le Sucre, Awakenings, Dekmantel, Fusion and Whole Festival, among others, and continues to seek out collectives and spaces that reflect her values.
