Josiane

Josiane is a Berlin-based DJ with roots in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Her sets are guided by feeling rather than genre, moving between hypnotic, percussive club energy and softer, more expansive narratives with a sense of care and direction. Through considered, intentional mixing she builds space, flow and atmosphere, with an ear for long-form storytelling on the dance floor.

She has played at Berlin institutions including Tresor, Else, Sisyphos, Kater Blau and Renate, as well as venues further afield such as objekt klein a in Dresden. Alongside her DJ work, she curates Private Paradise FM, a monthly radio show on Komrad, hosts on Refuge Worldwide and co-founded Madre Mia, a Berlin-based event project dedicated to creating warm, thoughtful spaces for music and creative exchange.

Josiane is also the founder of Roboam, a Berlin-based fashion label where clothing serves as a carrier of memory, identity and personal history. Each collection is shaped by her Congolese heritage and built with the same intentionality she brings to her music, making Roboam a natural extension of the stories and sensibilities that run through all of her work.
