From Vevey, Switzerland, based in Lausanne, Switzerland
Ground16 is a Swiss-based producer and DJ working across house, techno and breakbeat, with a sound shaped by jazz, funk and Detroit electronics. His music blends warm, soulful grooves with detailed rhythms and textured arrangements, balancing dancefloor focus with a clear sense of exploration.
He has released music on Sofa Movements, Gestalt Records and Neo Violence, and has played at venues and platforms including Paloma Bar, HÖR Berlin and Montreux Jazz Festival. His DJ sets move fluidly between styles, keeping things loose and dynamic while staying rooted in house music.
Ground16 was first introduced to the SEVEN family on the SEVENVA03 compilation. That connection led to a full EP on SEVEN’s sub-label a.2raum, marking a deeper collaboration and a natural next step in his relationship with the label.
