Charis

charis is a Hannover-based DJ and member of Qenem, a queerfeminist community founded in 2020 that connects and supports FLINTA* DJs and producers across Lower Saxony and beyond.

Her sound sits somewhere between deep, dubby textures and an ambient warmth. She makes steady, flowing sets that build gradually and take the dancefloor somewhere more introspective. Charis calls it “emotional dance music,” and it’s a good description. Crackling hi-hats, layered loops and a push-and-pull of bass and reverb are the tools, but the goal is always the feeling.

Charis has recorded a mix for the SEVEN Mix Series and most recently played at SEVEN’s Party at Renate in Berlin in March 2026.
