French producer Wilt returns to his own Thé Chaud Records imprint with a four-track EP that moves fluidly between jazz-inflected house and dubby deep cuts. 'Velvet Groove' is the standout, though the whole thing repays close listening.

Wilt's approach here is understated and grooved rather than flashy. There's warmth in the production, a sense of space around each element. The jazz touches never feel decorative - they're woven into the fabric of tracks that sit comfortably in the deeper end of the house spectrum, with plenty of breathing room.
