About this record
Fresh and deep house sound with four club-ready tracks, including an impressive remix from Jhobei. Joolmad brings a refined touch to contemporary deep house, crafting material that sits equally well in intimate late-night sets and more expansive dancefloor moments. The Hakuna EP debut on Shibui arrives fully formed - stripped back where it counts, hypnotic where it matters.
Shibui's catalogue has consistently favored substance over trend, and this opener sets the tone perfectly. These are tracks built for repeat listening both at home and in the booth, with the kind of groove architecture that rewards attention. Jhobei's remix contribution adds another dimension, refracting Joolmad's core sound through a complementary lens.
A solid entry point into what feels like a label and artist worth following closely.
