About this record
A milestone for our good friend Cinthie, who was invited to curate the legendary DJ-Kicks series in 2022. This 2x12" compilation is a masterclass in taste - well-chosen house cuts that reflect her deep understanding of the form. Cinthie's selections move through various shades of house and deep house with intelligence and warmth, the kind of record that rewards repeated listening.
The DJ-Kicks series has always been about letting respected selectors reveal their record collections and musical sensibilities. Cinthie does exactly that here, threading together tracks that speak to her ear and her dancefloor philosophy. Whether you're familiar with her DJ sets or new to her curatorial voice, this is essential listening - and a snapshot of where her head was at during one of house music's most creatively fertile periods.
