About this record
Absolute house classic from legendary Cajmere, 1992. This one's genuinely hard to come by - Discogs sharks are pricing it accordingly, which tells you everything you need to know about its standing in the deep house canon.
Cajmere's 'Brighter Days' sits at the intersection of Chicago deep house and garage house sensibilities, all soulful warmth and meticulous production. Released on his own Cajual Records (CAJ 201), it's the kind of record that sounds effortless but clearly wasn't - the mark of proper craftsmanship from someone who understood the genre's fundamentals.
If you've been chasing this 12" and resisting the secondary market markup, this is your moment. Still sounds as fresh as it did thirty years ago.
