Paloma Bar approved. Super sexy deep house cut. Definitely not from Detroit. Buts sounds like it.

About this record
Paloma Bar approved. This is a super sexy deep house cut that sounds like Detroit despite being decidedly not from there. Andy Vaz's I Am Not From Detroit (Remixes) lands on Soiree Records International with the kind of stripped-back groove and rolling bottom end that defines the best contemporary deep house - dubby, spacious, built for the dancefloor but never rushed.
The remix treatment here respects the original's architecture while opening up new angles. These are cuts that work in the margins of a set: the moment the room settles into something deeper, more sensual. Vaz understands restraint, letting silence and space do as much work as the bassline.
A proper 12" for DJs who know what they're looking for.
