#2 in SEVEN’s Meet the Remixer Series.

For release SEVEN7002, we’re thrilled to have Parisian producer Vitess lend his creative touch to a remix of Andre Zimmer’s “Wait a Minute.”
In the first few weeks since release, the EP has already had support from artists including Folamour, Job Jobse, Peggy Gou, LP Rhythm, Bella, Blondish, DJ Seinfeld and Chloe Caillet
As one of the rising stars of the New French electronic scene, Vitess brings his signature blend of warm grooves and powerhouse rhythms to this standout track, giving it a fresh perspective that we loved.
Vitess : A Multi-Genre Producer, DJ and Live Artist
Known for his live performances and releases on labels like Up the Stuss, Locus, and Dansu Discs, Vitess has carved out a reputation as a versatile producer who moves effortlessly between genres.
While many know him for his work as Vitess, fewer are aware that he produces under three additional aliases: Grand V, a project focused on trance and eurodance, Vytamin, and Flamant Rouge.
He’s also the founder of the label Retro Futura, where he continues to push boundaries with releases like Cyber Zone and Celebrity EP.
Drummer to Producer to DJ
When we asked about his musical journey, Vitess shared that he considers himself “first and foremost a producer” rather than a DJ.
Formally trained as a drummer, his focus is on playing his productions live, though he also takes to the decks for DJ sets.
Working wherever the inspiration hits

Vitess’s dedication to his craft shines through in his workflow. He produces both at home in his personal studio and on the go, allowing different environments to inspire his creativity.
“For me, it’s about flexibility—whether I’m at home with my monitors or on the road with headphones, the process stays adaptable. I work wherever I have the inspiration”.
Whether he’s working with his trusted studio setup at home or producing on a laptop while traveling, he emphasises that the best equipment is the one you know and feel comfortable with.
Wait a Minute : The Vitess Spin
This deep connection to production is evident in his remix of “Wait a Minute,” which he approached with both enthusiasm and respect.
“I immediately realized that this track was a very strong house/dance banger for the club,”
His remix of “Wait a Minute” exemplifies his ability to take a track and reimagine it with his unique style—balancing groove, depth, and energy in a way that only he can.
“In my remix, I tried to give it a deeper feeling by reducing the bpm and adding more soaring sounds while keeping the vocal loop.”

As a producer, Vitess enjoys the creative freedom of making original tracks but appreciates the unique challenge of remixing. “Producing my own music lets me explore without a plan,” he says.
“Remixing, though, requires respecting the original producer’s vision while creating something fresh that we can both appreciate.”
As for finishing tracks, Vitess admits that inspiration plays a significant role. While he’s capable of completing a track in just a few hours when the flow is right, he also enjoys letting projects “rest” before revisiting them.
“Some of my best tracks come together naturally and quickly. But I do have a lot of unfinished projects sitting on my laptop!”
How Vitess and SEVEN came together
Reflecting on the remix for SEVEN7002, Vitess credits the connection with SEVEN label owner CRYME for bringing him into the project.
“I was new to the label and the artist Andre Zimmer, but after the first listen to the EP, I loved the tracks, especially ‘Wait a Minute.’ It was with great pleasure that I agreed to remix it.”

It was actually EP artist Andre Zimmer who had first suggested Vitess for the remix. Andre has been enjoying more atmospheric sounds, deeper tracks, and music that isn’t necessarily made just for peak time dancefloor moments. He thought a colab with Vitess could bring this idea to life.
Vitess had also been on CRYME and SEVEN’s radar for a while as an Artist we wanted to work with so it was a perfect suggestion for the label.
“Having Vitess do a remix creates another layer to the EP, taking it into a realm that not only is for peak time dancing moments, but also adapts the title “wait a minute” into something more euphoric and blissful”

As SEVEN7002 continues to gather support and plays, we couldn’t be more excited to share this remix with you. Keep an eye on Vitess as he continues to push boundaries and redefine what it means to be a producer in today’s electronic music landscape.
