Suman’s “Vibez” EP launches as SEVEN7007, a colab with Seoul’s FAUST Club

SEVEN launches it’s 7th EP, a collaboration with Seoul based FAUST featuring three of their residents including Suman, DAMIE and Mars Parck.

It’s Release day at SEVEN again and this time the artist is Suman. Our new EP SEVEN7007 is out today on digital download, black vinyl, all streaming services and a beautiful propeller coloured vinyl edition.

The release is our first collaboration with our friends at FAUST, the Techno & House club in the Korean capital Seoul. The idea for the project came from a special friend of SEVEN and the owner of FAUST, the DJ and producer Marcus L.

Marcus had the idea of bringing the whole FAUST team together. He was executive producer for the project and our man on the ground in Seoul. With FAUST resident, Suman, as the lead artist Marcus and Suman chose fellow Faust residents DAMIE and Mars Parck to complete the EP with their remixes.

“Vibez” features three tracks from their resident Suman plus two remixes, one by DAMIE and one by Mars Parck who are also FAUST residents.

SEVEN7007 Track by Track

While the opening track drives forward with a more energetic, fast-paced vibe, the remaining tracks on the A-Side embrace dreamy, laidback house grooves accented by slightly cheesy yet classic vocals – perfect for a daytime dance.

### A1 – Suman – Do U Bounce

The highly addictive groove of “Do U Bounce” will make you boogie, boogie for sure. A dense rhythmic foundation built from various sampled percussion and a fat kick anchors the track, while a clever interplay of vocals takes center stage. It’s a perfect example of a modern blend of house music and hardgroove.

A2 – Suman – Vibez

The name-giving track of this EP is called “Vibez” for a reason. The classic organ pads and acid bassline deliver a smooth Detroit ghetto house feel, while the tinkling piano melody adds a dreamy touch that perfectly reflects the song’s themes of love, desire and lust.

A3 – Suman – I Don’t Know

Another smooth, laidback house jam rounds off the A-side perfectly. “I Don’t Know” is driven by a simple and catchy chord progression, topped off with some soft male vocals. This track creates a relaxed yet infectious atmosphere, inviting listeners to sink into its mellow groove and enjoy an intimate musical journey.

B1 – Suman – Do U Bounce (DAMIE Remix)

On the B-Side, DAMIE, one of Korea’s most outstanding female techno artists, flipped “Do U Bounce” and turned it into a tribalish, raw, and highly danceable banger. The heavily reworked vocals are hardly recognizable from the original mix. Featuring a unique rhythm structure and big, classic synth stabs, the track keeps the listener locked in.

B2 – Suman – I Don’t Know (Mars Parck Remix)

Seoul-based Mars Parck joins the EP with her interpretation of “I Don’t Know,” adding a beautiful, lush arp that bounces around and brings a playful touch to the original. This is a great demon-stration of unpredictability in the synth sequence, which keeps the song interesting over time.

SEVEN7007 “Vibes” by Suman is available now on 12″ Black Vinyl and a beautiful limited edition coloured vinyl on SEVEN’s own Bandcamp and also in the best record stores. You can download the digital version from Bandcamp and stream it on Spotify and all major streaming platforms.
