We’re excited to release our label’s second EP today from a great house artist. Toronto-born Andre Zimmer joined the SEVEN family this year. His Wait a Minute EP is a collection of fast, chuggy styles of house music.
Tell us about the tracks!
A1 – “Wait a Minute (Original Mix)” – Andre Zimmer’s title track has a heavy-handed 909 kick blistering beneath a chugging bassline. Taking influence from the Berlin house scene, it serves one purpose: to galvanise dance floor energy.
A2 – “Wait a Minute (Vitess Remix)” – Paris-based producer Vitess lands a remix of ‘Wait A Minute’ with his ’90s-focussed sound and penchant for deep, minimal beats. Lucious pads and electro-synth lines across the hip-hop vocals bolster its impact. “Ice Lolly” came together with some friends at a jam session in Los Angeles.
B1 – “Round Two” – For all its ’90s influences, ‘Round Two’ finds its heart in a classic rave organ, while other elements evoke a sense of the heady warehouse parties from that time, like sampled vinyl scratches, breakbeats, and chunky bass from Andre Zimmer‘s Yamaha DX200 vintage synth.
B2 – “Champ” – At recent gigs, Andre Zimmer‘s “Champ” has become one of his most requested tracks. Here, it becomes the perfect closer. Emotional piano chords from his Korg M1 synth find their place alongside his breakbeats. It’s a bona fide club tool.
Tell us about Andre.

Toronto native Andre Zimmer is making waves in house music as a label head, producer, and selector.
In 2023, he launched Big Trouble Records, a platform for global underground talent, spotlighting fresh yet nostalgic rave sounds. One of his standout moments came early with a rework of Fast Eddie’s iconic “Yo Yo Get Funky,” which gained widespread DJ support, chart success, and an official release through Black Book Records.
Andre’s sound blends old-school influences with forward-thinking energy, evident in his Shall Not Fade EP, which explores UKG, jungle, speed garage, and two-step. This genre-bending approach has quickly established him as a producer with a unique voice in the scene.
A 2024 European tour saw him playing packed venues, including a headlining set in Tresor’s main room, a three-hour garden session at Else, and a HÖR Berlin stream.
His latest single, “Let It Burn,” drew support from industry leaders and BBC Radio 1, bolstering both his and the label’s rising momentum. Alongside his vinyl-selling EPs and releases on labels like Hellbent and Black Book, Andre is collaborating with Carlita and Chloe Caillet for upcoming projects, and he has been asked to record a mix for Peggy Gou’s label.
How did Andre find SEVEN?
SEVEN met and signed Andre Zimmer in the perfect way—through music. Our co-founder Glenn had one of Andre’s tracks on repeat all through 2023, and late that summer, he messaged Andrew on IG just to say thanks for the music.
That sparked a conversation. Andre said he’d wanted to visit Berlin for a while; the rest is history.
Andre came to Europe, spent time in Amsterdam and Berlin, played gigs here, and made friends. Around this time, plans for the EP were hatched. (If you are curious, Unknown Artist – Unknown (AZ001) was the track Glenn liked so much.)
