For this special Christmas edition of A Private Chat with Glenn, I sat down with the super lovely and talented DJ and producer Christoph Faust. He brought along his festive spirit and we gave him the customary fish slippers. Here’s what we talked about, from last-minute live streams to exciting projects on the horizon.
The Christmas Mix: A Spontaneous Challenge
Christoph came fresh to the interview from filming a Christmas special mix for us. Christoph has asked if he could film a mix for us and we said yes of course. We were actually shooting the very next day but the schedule was full for the next 6 months. But then with just 18 hours to go before the shoot, an artist had to drop out and we asked Christoph if he wanted to jump in. How did he feel about filming a stream with less than 24 hours notice?
“Well,” he laughed, “I was sweating and nervous! Streams aren’t easy for me, especially when it’s a spontaneous request. I had less than 24 hours to prepare, but I hope everyone enjoys it.”
Despite the rush, we can confirm: it’s a fantastic set. Christoph totally nailed it.
Let’s talk about your split personality 🙂
Christoph is known for juggling two musical identities: Christoph Faust for house music and Inhalt der Nacht for techno. Inhalt Der Nacht was his original artist name and after giving it a rest for a few years, he decided late this year to take the big decision to revive it, much to the delight of his fans.
“I tried mixing techno and house into my Christoph Faust project,” he explained, “but it was too confusing for promoters and fans. People want a clear idea of what to expect. After three years, I kept getting messages asking to bring back Inhalt der Nacht. It’s been one of the best decisions of the year.”
With both projects active, we wondered if you might even catch Christoph performing twice on the same lineup?
“It happened at Lehmann Club in Stuttgart,” he said.
“I opened the floor as Christoph Faust and closed it as Inhalt der Nacht. Maybe I should start carrying a white shirt for house sets and a black shirt for techno—it’s like switching roles!”
Wet Skin: A Party for Everyone

Another highlight of Christoph’s year has been the success of Wet Skin, the inclusive party series he co-founded with his friend Michi.
“We wanted a name that wasn’t too complicated but captured the essence of the dance floor,” Christoph said. “Wherever you’re from, whatever your background, everyone ends up sweaty. That’s why Wet Skin—because on the dance floor, we’re all equal.”
The party has already featured artists like CRYME, Katy de Jesus, Shed, and Daisy Weweh, alongside their core team of Michi (as Jardinero) and Morgenstern (who handles graphics). Christoph hinted at big plans for next year, including a move to a new club in spring.
Christmas and Beyond
On a personal note, Christoph shared his excitement for the holiday season. “This year feels special,” he said. “I have a lovely new partner, and we even got a little Christmas tree together. I’ll also spend time with my mum and sister—just a calm, cosy Christmas.”
After the holidays, things ramp up quickly. On 30th December, Christoph will play one of the final parties at Watergate’s legendary water floor. “It’s such an honour,” he said. “Berliners know how to party, even right before New Year’s Eve!”
Christoph’s next milestone for SEVEN is, of course, the release of his remix of Reality Rush by CRYME on the 16th January. And after that there is a rumor of a full EP in the works…. you heard it here first

“Remixes are always a challenge,” he admitted, “but I’m proud of this one. I wanted it to reflect my vision of house music, something that could fit into the Panorama Bar sound. I hope listeners can hear both the original track and my reinterpretation in it.”
The remix drops on 16th January with the release of SEVEN 7003, Reality Rush by CRYME, and the celebration continues on the 17th with a Wet Skin party at It’s a Bar in Berlin.
Wrapping Up
With so much happening—revived projects, incredible parties, and exciting releases—2023 has been a huge year for Christoph Faust. And 2024 is already off to an amazing start.
Don’t miss Christoph Faust at Watergate on 30th December and keep an eye out for his remix of Reality Rush on 16th January. It’s going to be a big year for this multi-talented artist.
Thank you, Christoph, for taking the time to chat. Have a great Christmas and an even better New Year!
