Record Label
Odd Even
Odd Even is another label project of German producer and DJ André Kronert, set up as an open space for friends and peers to put out the kind of records he wants to play himself. It's a vinyl-only label as you would expect from the owner of a pressing plant.
The catalogue reaches back to the mid-2010s and takes in names like Jeroen Search, Markus Suckut, Pär Grindvik, Johannes Heil and Steve O'Sullivan, moving between stripped techno, dub and acid, much of it cut at Dubplates & Mastering here in Berlin. Boston 168's Oblivion EP is one of the early ones and still one of the best: trippy, hardware-driven acid techno from the Italian duo, repressed on 180g.
Kronert's own The Architect and Synthetic Reality sit alongside it. Functional, well-pressed club records, no fuss about it.
