Fergus Sweetland is a DJ and Producer from Melbourne, Australia now living in London, UK
Fergus Sweetland’s sound delves deep into groove and rhythm, crafting contemporary techno that blends moods, textures, and atmospheres with a natural sense of storytelling.
Originally from Melbourne and now based in London, Fergus’ musical journey began with the eclectic influences of his mother’s record collection, including US3, Gorillaz, and Groove Armada. After starting out producing house music, a transformative set by Marcel Dettmann at Rainbow Serpent Festival in 2015 sparked his passion for techno.
With over 15 years of production experience, Fergus combines elements of jazz, bossa nova, rap, ambient, and electronic music to create dynamic and boundary-pushing tracks. His DJ sets mirror this approach, guiding listeners through immersive and emotive sonic landscapes.
Since 2020, Fergus has been a key member of the Hayes Collective, releasing music on the respected Portuguese label. His work has also featured on Illegal Alien, NRBK, Ear To Ground, Connection Verified, and Codec Recordings, alongside running his own label, Pressure Systems.
Pressure Systems champions creative freedom and authenticity, reflecting Fergus’ belief in music as a powerful medium for self-expression through sound.
