Based in Berlin

Eva Be first played Panorama Bar at Berghain in Berlin in 2023, then Globus at Tresor in Berlin in 2025.

Eva Be grew up in East Berlin with music close to her heart, and first found her way into the city's club scene in 1995. A visit to Delicious Doughnuts in Berlin-Mitte proved to be a turning point, introducing her to the people who would go on to form Jazzanova and shaping the direction her musical life would take from then on.

She didn't set out to build a career in music, but a residency at the Akba Club gave her the space to develop her sound behind the decks, leading to regular appearances at Cookies, WMF, Boogaloo, Kurvenstar and Cafe Moskau. There she wove together Dub, Trip Hop, Breakbeat, Drum 'n' Bass and Experimental Electronics into something distinctly her own. That same creative circle, which included Dixon, Micatone and Slope among others, gave rise to Sonar Kollektiv, the collective and label that released Eva's first solo EP Below, followed by 12-inches including Eve's Time Tonite, recorded with Fat Freddy's Drop vocalist Joe Dukie, and Allee Viree.

As a resident at the early Watergate club she shared floors with Kid Loco, Kruder and Dorfmeister, King Britt and Rainer Trüby, while also touring Europe with Ye:Solar and supporting acts including Fat Freddy's Drop, Omar and Jamie Lidell. Her debut album Moving Without Traveling, a warm reflection of her love for Dub and Reggae, earned her a warm reception across Europe and a mention in UK jazz magazine Straight No Chaser. She took the album on the road with her live band Eva and the BEs, appearing alongside Fat Freddy's Drop and The Black Seeds.

Returning to the scene after a break in 2007, Eva broadened her palette to include more house music, producing remixes for the likes of Horace Andy, Jah Wobble and Recloose, and releasing singles with singer Ben Ivory. A meeting with DJ Cle at Panoramabar in 2013 sparked an immediate connection, both personally and musically, and the two formed LoYoTo, channelling their shared affection for underground house and dub. The project has released records on Upon You, Watergate and Foul and Sunk, and in 2019 the pair launched their own label, LYT Recordings. That same year Eva returned to solo work with her Belight EP on Poker Flat Recordings, drawing on nearly two decades of experience and craft.
