Benabou

Benabou is a Berlin-based artist and mastering engineer whose path through music has been shaped by a genuine curiosity and a deep love of record digging. Drawn early on to jazz, soul and psychedelic music, those influences quietly filter through into her productions, which tend toward ambient and ethereal textures sitting within darker, more hypnotic electronic territory. Labels like Token, Polegroup, Eaux, Semantica, Hypnus and Northern Electronics have all played a part in shaping her sound.

Fun Fact: Alongside her work as a producer, Marine Benabou is a mastering engineer at Manmade Mastering in Berlin. She handles mastering for all SEVEN VA compilations and special projects, as well as a good portion of the A.2AUM output, sharing those responsibilities with Isabel Schröer at Scape Mastering and Andres Klein at Studio Pflug. It is fair to say she is woven into the fabric of what SEVEN does, both on and off the dancefloor.
