Alex Perera

Alex Perera is a Kyiv-based DJ and one of the co-founders of Stezhka, a queer collective, event series and cultural platform that uses electronic music as a space for freedom, intimacy and self-expression. Since Stezhka launched in 2022, Alex has helped shape its musical direction as a resident DJ and curator, playing an active part in Kyiv's independent electronic scene along the way.

He has performed at venues and events across Ukraine, including spots in Kyiv, Odessa, Lviv, Kharkiv and Dnipro, alongside appearances with collectives and parties such as Regular Disco, Naughty Beats, Feminine, Hirka, Reyvakh and Vertuha. In 2024 he travelled to Lesbos, Greece, to play Queer Ranch Festival.

In the booth, Alex draws from deep and progressive house, tribal percussion, trance, dub and hypnotic techno, threading them into something continuous and physical. His sets move between playful tension and emotional release, leaning into groove as a form of connection and the dancefloor as a place for exploration and desire. Warm melodies, psychedelic textures and a strong sense of rhythm sit at the heart of what he does.
