SEVEN is excited to release our first Various Artist compilation. SEVENVA01 includes seven (obviously) amazing tracks by artists all new to the label and will be available on digital download, streaming, and a beautifully packaged 2 x 12″ vinyl.
SEVENVA01 is available exclusively for digital download on Beatport Early Release from 14th February 2025. It will be available on all streaming services from 28th February 2025. You can buy the vinyl on SEVEN’s Bandcamp and at selected record stores.

SEVENVA01: Tracks in detail
A1 – Sol Ortega – Dabz
Kicking off this VA is vinyl enthusiast Sol Ortega with her fast-paced track “Dabz”. Inspired by both Chicago and Detroit, she delivers a modern, energetic approach that pays homage to the pioneering cities that started house and techno.
Her evolving dub-style synth work paired with a rolling bassline, big claps, and heavy shakers creates a dynamic track perfect for the dancefloor.
A2 – Posture – 4 r Luv
With “4 r Luv,” Posture created a melodic house tune that is sure to put you in a good mood. Prominent vocals are supported by raw, sharp drums that would perfectly work in a garage tune. Overall, the classic synth stabs in the break and grimy bass create the vibe of a timeless UK tune.
B1 – DD Boys – Cannot Stop
Mastermind producers, Bailey Ibbs and Fergus Sweetland, join forces under the name DD Boys on their track “Cannot Stop.” The blend of crunchy, distorted drums with minimal sound design results in a stripped-down ghetto house tune. The bass acts as the MVP in this track, ranging over the whole frequency spectrum while playing a melody that will get stuck in your head.
B2 – Retromigation – Cariati Feels
Retromigation delivers old-school tech house vibes with a touch of hip-hop and funk. The warm-sounding, sharp organ chords perfectly contrast the rougher vocals. “Cariati Feels” is a well-produced track that keeps your hips moving thanks to rhythmic changes and a clever interplay of the different elements, accompanied by some ear candy here and there.
C1 – Baka G – The Blue Spirit
The G stands for groove, and “The Blue Spirit” is real proof. Baka G has all the ingredients for the perfect house slapper and showcases her playful approach to producing music. The symbiosis of pads and cheerful stabs creates tension and release throughout the track. Sections are further enhanced by well-sequenced, energetic congas.
C2 – Oliver Benji (aka CucaRafa)- Voice Mail
“The person you have called is temporarily not available….”
This track creatively incorporates the iconic “Voice Mail” beep as its main element, setting a unique tone. It features a 4×4 kick alongside an unusual polyrhythmic groove with a more broken-beat feel. The song is anchored by a subheavy low tom bass that adds depth and drive.
D1 – Ackermann – Make you wanna do right
Ackermann rounds out the VA with another, more fast-paced tune called “Make You Wanna Do Right,”which sits in the sweet spot between house and techno. Straightforward drums meet syncopated elements, creating a compelling rhythm. His skilful use of question and answer in the musical arrangement adds playful interactions between piano, vocals, and synth sounds, crafting an overall funky atmosphere.
